When creating a magazine from scratch, I looked no further than one of my favorite foods in the world, chocolate. Au Chocolat is an illustrative magazine that is dedicated to the exploration and publication of all things chocolate.
From recipes to articles to interviews, Au Chocolat aims to give chocolate lovers inspiration and new knowledge about chocolate. This April 2020 issue features various articles that explore combinations of chocolate in recipes as well as an interview with Lindt USA Master Chocolatier Anna Czja on how she broke into the chocolate industry. When designing this magazine, I wanted the design to echo the feeling of peace that chocolate brings me. Therefore, I opted for a warm, soft, and comfortable aesthetic, primarily utilizing warm tones of brown and pink. Imagery of chocolate runs throughout while soft illustrations echo the voice of my magazine.
