Habits are built and broken daily. When designing technology, we are always attempting to help others build or break these habits. The challenge was  to design an interface that helps someone change their relationship with a habit — good or bad.

I chose the popular habit of scrolling on our phones. Not only did I  have to become an expert on the habit, but I needed to understand the psychology behind how it is built and broken. During this research, I got to explore the tactics used to influence behavior and competitive solutions that are already available on the market.
This helped us to learn how to:
• Build mastery in understanding a target audience
• Hone in on detailed research skills and iterate solutions
• Design a happy path diagram
• Develop a high fidelity prototype illustrating the happy path or core user flow our user will take through the experience to gain maximum value from the product
Problem
Excessive scrolling on social media.
Technology is created and designed to use you, and its desired goals and outcomes are different than yours.
