About the Project
reORG is a motivational app designed to help users declutter their space and ease their mind. Unlike other apps, reORG has the ability to scan a room and show the user what the room could look like when it is decluttered. While other apps give long lists of things to do, reORG walks the user through the entire decluttering process and offers helpful tips along the way. From the reORG Helper, where you can assess the value of an object, to the vast resources and community, reORG offers an all in one experience for decluttering your home.

A Little Bit About Me
This is my twin brother Alex, me, and my incredible single mom who primarily raised us since we were 18 months old. Over the years of juggling two kids growing up fast, clutter naturally began to pile up in our home. I never thought much of it until COVID-19 began and the role of going out flipped with the role of staying in.
Being home for extended periods of time when we otherwise wouldn’t be, I found myself noticing the clutter in my home and my negative feelings around it became more apparent. During the hustle of everyday “normal” life, we generally shrug off clutter as it is not nearly as important as other things in our busy lives. However, clutter is unknowingly more negative that you may think.
Research
Bursting cupboards and piles of paper stacked around the house may seem harmless enough. But research shows disorganization and clutter have a cumulative effect on our brains. Our brains like order, and constant visual reminders of disorganization drain our cognitive resources, reducing our ability to focus.
